Bio
The images that you will find here are views of the world as I see it, or at least as I see it via my camera's viewfinder. I try to find the hidden beauty in my little part of the world. It seems that the more I look for it, the more of it that I find. Funny how that works.
I live in Los Angeles, California. Within a few minutes of my home you can find Hollywood, Griffith Park, the Los Angeles Zoo, Descanso Gardens, the Arboretum of Los Angeles County, the Santa Monica Mountains, the San Garbiel Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and an almost infinite variety of people, neighborhoods, parks and amusements. Lately, most of the images you see here are from the Wildlife Waystation. I work as Chief of Security at the Waystation and a large part of my job is to make sure that all the animals in this sanctuary are safe and warm througout the night. Over the past months I have gotten to know many of these animals. I've tried to make these images reflect the affection I have for these magnificent creatures, so I hope you enjoy seeing some intimate views of my animal friends.

Cameras
I shoot almost exclusively with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.
I use five different lenses. For most shots I use the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM, or my Canon 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, but, if need be, I also have available the Canon EFS 18-55mm, the Canon EF 35-80mm Macro Zoom, and the Canon EF 100-300mm USM, plus a lovely little Tamron 2X Teleconverter for variety.
